Information we might need from you
Your name, address, customer number, telephone number, email address, credit/debit card number, expiry date, start date, issue number and card security code. If you enter a prize draw we need your name, address, customer number and email address.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Confirm the receipt of your order, process it and keep you informed of progress
- Keep you up to date with new services, facilities, special offers and promotions (see below for details)
- Administer prize draws
- Enhance your shopping experience in the future by tailoring the site to meet your needs
- Administer your shopping account with us
- Administer your Personal Account with us, if you have one (see below for details).
We may also use the information you provide to perform a credit search. We will perform a credit search if:
- You apply for a Personal Account with us; or
- You are a new customer and you order a catalogue.
If we perform a credit search, we will search the files of credit reference agencies who will record the search and we may share information (including credit and electoral role data) about you and the conduct of your account with them and with other lenders and relevant third parties. We check everyone’s details with fraud prevention agencies and if anyone gives us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we record this. We and other organisations use such records, together with records which relate to members of your household and those with whom you are financially linked, to make decisions about credit and all types of insurance proposals and claims for you, members of your household and those with whom you are financially linked. This information will also be used to prove identity, for money laundering prevention and for fraud prevention purposes.
We may also use your information held within the Redcats group of companies, including shopping habits, to approve, open and run your Personal Account, including for the purposes of payment recovery and debtor tracing. If you require details of the credit reference agencies from whom we obtain, and with whom we record information about you, please write to us or telephone our Customer Care team on 0870 050 2120. Our lines are open from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week. . (Calls provided by BT will be charged at up to 8 pence per minute at all times.
